E-Rate & School Support - E-rate is a program offered by the Schools and
Libraries Division (SLD) of the FCC and is paid for from the Universal
Services Fund. E-rate allows schools and libraries to obtain networking
equipment and telecommunications services such as Internet Access,
phone service, and long distance charges at greatly reduced rates from
the vendor of their choice, not the government. The E-rate program
began in 1998 and is funded with $2.25 billion dollars per year. Many
schools are eligible to have 75-90% of their networking and
telecommunication expenditures paid for automatically.
The E-rate system is not a grant system and schools are not competing
for the funding. If a school or library is eligible, simply
following the funding guidelines application qualifies them for funding
for as long as the E-rate program exists and as far as the
funds can be spread. Funding priority is first given to providing
funding for the telecommunication services of all applicants and then
the second priority is to provide networking services & equipment to
the schools with the highest number of free & reduced lunches.
ISC has been providing E-rate services since the inception
of the program in February of 1998. We have helped schools take
advantage of the program, many of which were even unaware
the program existed. Our E-rate specialists can assist you in filing
your paperwork as well as providing you with contracts to submit to
the SLD. We will visit your site and help you determine which of the
eligible products you need and then assist you in getting the funding
for those products. Contact our E-rate specialists today by using the
below contact connection so we can begin preparing for your next round
of applications.
Schools have been a major ISC clientele since 1996. We provide schools
with affordable and reliable service and sales.
Through service contracts and on-site service calls we provide
schools with the resources needed to keep their networks and computers
running smoothly. Most schools have a large number of computers and
network equipment comparable to many large businesses.
These systems have become a critical part of the daily operation
of the school from the student accounting systems to student teaching
software. Our staff is familiar with almost every educational software
system on the market today such as A+Plus, Accelerated Reader, Star
Math, Follett, Orchard, Winnebago, CCC, Municipal Accounting System,
Syntec and many more.
